I wouldn’t describe myself as in anyway controversial. If anything, I am pretty conservative, and avoid sticking out like a sore thumb.
Which is strange, given that I am quite er, vocal, when required (road rage, queue jumpers) and I’m not afraid to express an opinion.
But otherwise, I’m happy to blend (the dread at lucky draws – yes, I want to win something, but no, I do not want to go on stage).
I think that’s why I love Helena Bonham-Carter. The woman is so out there she’s her own country. From her unconventional partnership with Tim Burton (2 children, separate homes, joined by a tunnel/corridor), I love that she dresses just as she likes. It’s almost as if she’s decided ‘well if you think I’m eccentric, suck it up people!’
I could never never stick out like this. But all hail the Red Queen for breaking the blah of Hollywood! (although the hair could be better…)
