William Dalrymple is one of my favourite travel writers, and City of Djinns one of my favourite books. Read why here, and meet International Backside Taxis.
The Art of Racing In The Rain
What a gorgeous book. In a nutshell, the book is an allegory on life, told through car-racing, through the eyes of a dog. And it works.
Do you add value in today’s business landscape?
I hadn’t really thought of myself as a right brainer. My life used to revolve around numbers all the time. Now I am writing all the time and constantly thinking of ideas I want to share, I seem to have lapsed into a right-brain dominance.
Guest Book Review: The Art of Racing In the Rain
Guest review by Mai: “It’s the middle of a windy, slightly overcast afternoon and I just finished reading the book ‘The Art of Racing in the Rain’ by Garth Stein. My eyes are swollen from all the crying while reading…”
Anne Loves To Read
Friend Anne loves to read, and we don’t always like the same books, so I asked her to recommend three books she’s just read.
I love detectives and mysteries, especially those with a sense of humour. Shamini Flint has created an interesting, likeable character in Inspector Singh. He’s an unlikely hero whose smarts and wry humour is not immediately apparent, but develops with the plot.
Everything Is Possible
Guest review by Magsie: “It’s uplifting, internally expansive and a joy to read.”
