About…

the groovini

The groovini has wandered all over  the world, met cool people, had all sorts of crazy experiences, and all manner  of lucky ones. She’s laughed her head off, been moved to tears, stuffed  her face with the best nosh, and seen some of the most beautiful places the  world has to offer. Now she’s sharing all she knows!

Starting with the Singapore edition, she’ll recommend what she likes, where to go, what to do and what you need to know.

From favourite treats, books,  movies, to favourite resorts, and what you must do when in Mumbai, Bangkok,  Shanghai (and a slew of other cities), the groovini only recommends what she – and those she trusts – have tried and liked.

During a well-deserved sojourn from corporate life, she decided to experiment with writing and sharing her experiences, and was amazed to find that this really resonated and is delighted with how many new friends she has made through www.thegroovini.com

the groovini believes in giving with an open heart, and in the infinite bounty of the universe, and like Miss Congeniality, would like World Peace and wishes there was less suffering in the world.

Namaste.

Fashion Jeannie

FJ loves fashion and writing, aren’t we lucky?  She doesn’t quite believe in the cult of Anna Wintour, nor of being bang-on-trend all the time. She sees beauty, style and originality in everyday life, and doesn’t believe that you need the budget of Paris Hilton to look like a million bucks.  She believes in trend-setting, not following, and hopes to share with the groovini’s readers her secrets to great style.

Beauticia

Self-proclaimed beauty and makeup slut Beauticia has groomed a life-long love for all things bright and beautiful.  Keeping on top of the latest cosmetic innovations, she promises to sort out the good, the bad, and the ugly amongst today’s smorgasbord of beauty boosts and tweaks.

Metamorphoenix

A woman who’s had to handle some rather drastic changes in the past year, and then –EUREKA – she discovered the anonymity of tweeting! She says “It’s cathartic, neither too rude nor inane. So till I’ve risen from the ashes of change, I’ve captured a few brain dribbles to share with anyone who’s willing to stop and space out for a sec.”
